My Miniature Projects

Here are my completed miniature projects. Mind you, there are more projects on my to-do list that are hidden in the garage, tucked in the basement, stuffed in the utility closet, and under my bed!

The premier place to purchase comic books if you're less than 6 inches tall!

This is Galactus Comics, a miniature comic book store that I completed
for my husband Christmas 2011. The room box that it's housed in was purchased from an antique store in Santa Barbara, California nearly nineteen years ago.

The wonderful sales counter, display counter, and display shelves were all expertly hand-crafted by Mike Sickenger of M & M Specialties. I first purchased the sales and display counters from Mike at a show in Atlanta a few years ago. Last December, when I realized I needed display shelves to complete the comic book store, I contacted Mike a week before Christmas. I've always been a last-minute kind of gal.

I was not expecting to receive these items in time to present the box to Billy for Christmas. But Mike overnighted them to me. He braved a rare winter snowstorm in New Mexico to get them to me three days before Christmas! I am forever grateful. Please contact Mike at M & M Specialties to receive a catalogue. Tell him Angie Hall sent you!
The larger posters are comic book stamps from the U.S.Postal Service. | My husband bought two rolls of them years ago. |  He allowed me to cut up one of the rolls to use in Galactus Comics.

Love love the comic book store. kathy

    1. Thank you very much! My next mini retail project will be a day spa.

  2. Will you be doing any shows in Southern California? And the link for a catalog didn't work. Thanks.

  3. Hey, there, Greatgrandma. Sorry for the slow response. I don't actually do shows. I'm just a stay-at-home mom who creates, as you do, because I love the hobby. Funny you mentioned Southern California, though. That's where I'm from...have you heard of Valencia, California, just outside of L.A.?

I will check the link for Mike Sickenger again. I don't think he's actually doing a lot of mini creation these days, but I will attempt to get in touch with him for you.

Believe it or not, I am still working on this comic book store. I recently added an "OPEN" sign that blinks! I'll post a photo of it soon. Plan to begin blogging again during the holidays.

    Blessings to you...

    Angie Hall

Thank you for your comment. I love hearing from other miniaturists. That always brightens my day!
